This week, we’re excited to turn our spotlight on Paul Schmidt, another promising student at Ron King Academy. Focusing on our Barber Crossover classes, Paul comes to us with a passion for finding his own personal style.
Before deciding to become a barber, Paul was actually a barista, so we know he’ll make several friends with his top picks for a caffeine boost! Paul is excited to be standing at the beginning of his dream career, and is prepared for the hard work and dedication involved in building a successful career in cosmetology.
Although he’s new to RKA, Paul is no stranger to the industry. Since he’s a licensed cosmetologist, he already has many friends who are involved in the Austin beauty scene, which is quite impressive! Having talked about his new adventure with his friends, he says he is most excited to take advantage of the new technology and information provided through our Barber Crossover classes.
What do we love most about Paul? It’s definitely his love for Austin! His favorite fashion trends, the “man-bun” and detailed beards, are two of the greatest trends of our city. Further solidifying his love for Austin, when he’s not behind the barber chair, you’ll find him at Austin’s own Sahara Lounge, which features unique Austin cocktails and has been named a top venue for live music – the signature of Austin.
